Ideathon 2.0
Our second ideathon had 250+ students, ranging from first-year undergraduates to Ph.D. students, from more than 15 schools across the country. Competing for a $1,000 cash prize over five days, teams worked to develop the best solution for a challenge faced by our host startup, Liner AI. Liner AI, the #4 ranked generative AI tool globally, is a Series B startup with a recent $30 million funding round and an impressive 10 million monthly active users. The three finalist teams presented their solutions and after a highly competitive round, the ideathon was won by Team IHOP—an impressive group of four freshmen: Michael Tkachuk, Kai Tkachuk, Ilan Sri Sankar, and Umang Vadhar.

Ideathon 1.0
60 participants, ranging from incoming freshmen to grad students, all competing for a $1000 prize. Over a 4-day period, teams collaborated to develop the best idea addressing a prompt from our host, Sonico Biosciences, aimed at benefiting their startup. The event culminated in a finale, where 5 finalist teams presented their innovative ideas. After a highly competitive finals, the Venture Visionaries team, consisting of Andrew Taylor, Carolyn Li, and Isabelle Margetts, won the competition. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and dedicated their time this summer to contribute to our first event. Special thanks to Toby Gollan-Myers for representing Sonico and providing tremendous support throughout the event.

Niftykit was one of the early startups to make NFT creation accessible to all people. SBV worked with Terence Pae, Founder of NiftyKit, to propose a pivot into a different focus in order to keep relevancy in the ever changing crypto space. Our team had a great experience learning about how crypto and smart contracts can potentially assist many different industries
